Visit from Inland Fisheries Ireland

We were delighted to welcome Kevin Crowley from inland Fisheries Ireland to our school today. Kevin spoke to the children about the different types of fish, plant and animal life that inhabit our waterways. The children learned about the various threats to our rivers and lakes and also about what can be done to protect our native wildlife. The children really enjoyed the presentation and we hope to meet Kevin again and go on a field trip to a local river later in the school year.
